Today Sony announced the price of the controller for the Playstation 3 dubbed "Sixaxsis". The controller will be $10 cheaper than the entire Wii controller, (Wii-mote and Nunchuck), at $49.99. This is a shock to most people considering the high price of the Playstation console itself. A device that will allow users to put PS1 and 2 saved games onto the hard drive will cost a respectable $14.99, although some argue that the ability to do this should have been available right out of the box.

It should also be taken into consideration that the Nintendo controller comes in two parts sold seperately, and the Sony Playstation controller is sold as one complete unit.
